Plot
Ted Striker (Robert Hays), a former Navy pilot and now an ex-baggage handler, is in love with Elaine Dickinson (Julie Hagerty), a stewardess. When a crisis aboard an airliner arises, Ted is forced to take the controls and try to save the day. Meanwhile, Dr. Rumack (Leslie Nielsen) and the other passengers and crew must deal with the crisis in their own unique ways.
The flight crew of an airliner becomes incapacitated due to food poisoning, leaving Ted Striker, an ex-Navy pilot, to take the controls in an attempt to land the plane. Along the way, he is aided by Elaine Dickinson, a fellow passenger and former stewardess, and Dr. Rumack, the plane’s medical officer.
